If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of speaking with our new event coordinator, Kate, then chances are you’ll cross paths with her soon!
Kate joined the tight-knit Mr McCracken family at the start of May this year, and has very quickly become a great asset to the team. Kicking off her passion for hospitality by completing a bachelor degree in event management at William Angliss, Kate has since been working in the industry for 8 years, with 6 of those being in events.
The collection of knowledge Kate has acquired over almost a decade can well and truly be seen in her dedication to her clients, as she ensures every occasion she creates is personalised and memorable.
The vast diversity amongst events is what first drew Kate to Mr McCracken, and because of this, she has been given the opportunity to deep dive into the backbone and learn a great deal about the business in such a condensed period of time. Making the leap from Werribee, the other aspect of what excites Kate about her newest venture at Mr McCracken is working alongside a different demographic of clientele. This allows Kate to build and nurture new relationships, all the while creating bespoke experiences to bring customers’ visions to life.
The biggest challenge Kate has found working in events is the fallout from covid. She says “with 2 years’ worth of cancellations and postponed events, people are excited to get back to a bit of normalcy. However, covid is still making clients wary to commit to making bookings, and that is why ensuring clients feel comfortable and are aware of the policies and procedures we have in place is a top priority of mine to ensure confidence in Mr McCracken.”
